Total Warrior a whole success

Total Warrior a whole success

Thu 31 August

2017 was our first year of being a charity partner with Total Warrior and what a huge success it was.

2017 was our first year of being a part of Total Warrior as a charity partner and what a fantastic event it was!

Total Warrior is described as the pinnacle of obstacle racing and it sure lives up that. The course has around 30 punishing obstacles in each of the three courses and offers greater variety obstacles than any other race currently available. Total Warrior provides the ultimate test for all participants, it will test individuals and team’s stamina, strength and determination. Total Warrior further offers a challenge for everyone, irrespective of their fitness level.

BTRS had a total of 152 people participate in Total Warrior on our behalf and raised an incredible amount of money from their fundraising efforts - £11,762.29. This money will go a long way in helping to fund research and patient support, around 9,000 people are diagnosed with a primary brain tumour in the UK each year.

Kate Halsall from Motive8: “This is the first time we have entered a team into the Total Warrior and it for BTRS just made it even more fun! The support we received from the BTRS team was brilliant and our team looked a treat in matching BTRS tops (although they didn’t stay the BTRS colours for long!!) It was great to have someone to see us off at the start of the “race” but also to have the celebrations with at the end of the event! Best of all we have tonnes of photos of what was a great day and the obstacle course was really inclusive for ALL levels of fitness – of course we’ve signed up for next year!”

Christian Bengoa from NHS Confederation: “We knew we would be having fun and we also knew there would be plenty of mud, what we didn’t know is that there would be so much of it! How is it possible that after 12km of fire, mud and ice we’d be able to cross the finish line laughing? A soon as we crossed the finish line we were already planning on doing it again next year!”

Has this got you feeling motivated for a challenge? Sign up to Total Warrior 2018 either as an individual or get a group together and work through the mud and obstacles as a team! It is sure to be a fun event with lots of laughs, mud and determination – the feeling of accomplishment afterwards will be like no other. Follow our link below to sign up early ready for 2018:
