Copmanthorpe Carnival a huge success

Copmanthorpe Carnival a huge success

Wed 12 July

Thank you to Christine Osmond for holding a tombola stall at the Carnival.

Thank you to Christine Osmond, Jordanna Kelly and her mum Dee for running a tombola at the Copmanthorpe Carnival on 8 July. The event raised £415.00 for brain tumour research and support in Yorkshire.

Thank you to everyone who donated prizes.

Long term supporter and volunteer Christine said "
BTRS is very dear to my heart. I have been involved with BTRS (formerly Andreas Gift) for nearly 10 years, ever since I lost my husband with the most aggressive Brain Tumour. I couldn't believe at the time that less than 1% of national funding goes to Brain Tumour Research and in the last 10 years the percentage is still the same, yet figures of Brain tumours are increasing, obviously that is through the lack of funding for research.

I do hold various events throughout the year, some events raise more than others, but I think spreading the word about Brain tumours and lack of funding is just as important. I will continue to fund raise, help and support BTRS with the passion that I have always had in the hope that one day we will find a cure."
