funds at Brain Tumour Research and Support across Yorkshire
At BTRS we know how important it is to create a personal tribute site that reflects the things that are important to you and your family. In 2011 BTRS changed its name from Andrea’s Gift so that the charity was more accessible to people affected by brain tumours and, those who wanted to organise a longer term programme of fundraising could develop a clear identity within BTRS and then take that identity into their local community.
Working in this way cuts down on expensive admin costs and gives you a charity registration number to work with, advice is on hand from a charity fundraiser who has 10 years experience in this field, and has access to doctors, nurses and scientists who work daily with brain tumour patients and science who will guide and advise on specific projects.
BTRS is very much open to suggestions on how any money raised in a Fund is invested. It maybe you have identified a gap in the area of patient care and support or perhaps you would like to fund a piece of research that is personal to you. Whatever your thoughts, the BTRS trustees are open to your ideas for development. Two Funds are raising money for specific projects - Meek’s Feats aims to raise £100,000 to fund a PhD student at the Leeds brain tumour research lab and Harry’s Star will develop a network of care and support for parents caring for a child with a brain tumour in north Yorkshire. Other funds are set up to support BTRS in its valuable work; funding brain tumour research and caring for patients in Yorkshire.
Funds are designed with you in mind; we can help with graphic design, access to a simple website, online donation service, Fund branded tee shirts, leaflets, posters and a development strategy for your fund based on the time you have to commit. BTRS has 10 years of experience in this area and can help you to achieve your goals.
