Our spare a thought campaign is all about the little things you can do to make a difference.

You don't have to run a marathon, cycle 100 miles or jump out of an aeroplane to fight for change, you just need to be passionate about supporting our cause.

From monthly donations to collecting small change in a jam jar, this page is packed full of quick and easy ways you can help BTRS fund much needed brain tumour research and support in Yorkshire.

Our Jam Jar Campaign

All you need to take part is a jam jar, a sticker and a little bit of spare change.
  • Order a sticker by emailing
  • Stick it on an empty jar and place it somewhere it'll be seen every day
  • Fill your jar up with loose change
  • When the jar is full, bank the coins and donate them to BTRS

Leave us a legacy

Did you know you can leave a donation to BTRS in your will?

This helps us continue to fund ground-breaking brain tumour research in your legacy. We offer a variety of ways to leave your legacy, including:
  • Pecuniary donation - to leave a specific sum of money, which can be index linked to preserve its value.
  • Residual donation - to leave a percentage of the residue of your entire estate after all dependents have been provided for.
  • Specific donation - to leave part or all of your estate to BTRS.
