BTRS provides a support system for patients and their families.

If you think that it might help to talk to someone who has an appreciation of what you are going through, please contact Samantha Wilson, our Patient Support Specialist, on 07539457239 or

Our Support

We have a number of patients and carers who are willing to talk either by telephone, email or face to face (where possible) to help you through the difficult and sometimes challenging times, by sharing their experiences and coping strategies. In addition, please read two of our patient stories which may help you. Jon O’Neil and Mark Winterbourne are patients who have documented their experiences of living with a brain tumour.
How should I feel?

When you or a family member receive a brain tumour diagnosis, everyone close will be affected in some way, each person will have a different way of coping and dealing with the practical and emotional issues they face. It is perfectly normal to feel sad or angry, and sometimes people can be in denial, remember that there is no right or wrong way to feel.
