David Garbutt’s musical charity night raises over £1,100

Thu 02 July

David Garbutt, and a team of his family and friends, held their 4th charity night on 19/6/15 at Swillington Miners Welfare Club.
David chose to support BTRS as his daughter Dawn had a brain tumour removed at the age of 38.  Dawn is featured in the lead photo with her dad David (far right) , Jimmy Jemain and the Knight Shadows, and Three Sheets to the Wind.
The event raised over £1,100 for research and support for brain tumour patients in Yorkshire.

The evening was full of some fantastic musical acts including Jimmy Jemain and the Knight Shadows (winner of Stars in their Eyes National Tribute Award Winner 2013), Benjamin Lake (who featured on The Voice) , Three Sheets to the Wind , Bethany Hawkins and Millie Cranston.

To support the money raised from the tickets they also held an amazing raffle and played bingo!

Thank you to all the team and artists for your amazing work and time and to Swillington Miners Welfare Club for holding the event.    Thank you Lee Collings for the great photos of the event  (@Yorkshire_Pics) which you can view on the Swillington Miners Club Facebook page.
